On July 23, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.V. Grushko held consultations with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan S.A.Sharifov in Moscow.
The parties discussed the current situation in the South Caucasus and neighboring regions. An exchange of views was held on the issues of the EU and NATO, the OSCE situation and regional activities The Council of Europe. A number of bilateral and international topics of mutual interest were touched upon.
The meeting was held in a traditionally friendly and trusting atmosphere, consistent with the spirit of Russian-Azerbaijani alliance.
