The growth rate of exports of light industry goods from Belarus to the countries of the far arc in the first half of 2024 amounted to 147.8%. The results of Bellegprom’s work in January-June were discussed at the concern’s council with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Pyotr Parkhomchik, BelTA learned from the concern’s press service.
As noted, deliveries of goods to Vietnam, Kenya, Rwanda, Cuba, Togo, Sudan and Morocco have begun. At the council, heads of enterprises from all over the country discussed the export potential of Belarusian organizations. They also discussed the promotion of Bellegprom products in the domestic market.
Veronika Tolkach, Deputy chairman of the Bellegprom concern, said that Belarus continues to actively export light industry goods to the EAEU countries and Russia. The emphasis was also placed on the fact that the products of the textile industry are most in demand. The profitability of sales in the industry was separately noted, which amounted to 12.9%.
Petr Parkhomchik instructed to ensure the fulfillment of all key target parameters for the first 9 months and 2024, and also drew attention to a number of systemic problems in the industry. Among them are the high level of stocks of finished products and non-fulfillment of the indicator for the production of import-substituting products. To address these issues, the industry has been instructed to develop more effective approaches.
“The enterprises of the Bellegprom concern have always focused on the quality of their products. The year 2024 was no exception. We will continue to work to ensure consistently high quality of our products,” assured Tatyana Lugina, Chairman of the concern. She also gave a principled assessment to the heads of the concern’s enterprises and analyzed the results of their work in terms of output volumes and the effectiveness of foreign economic activity. In addition, the concern’s board paid attention to the development of innovative products and occupational safety.
