The development of trade and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia was discussed on September 26 in Moscow by participants of the business dialogue “Kazakhstan – vector of opportunities” – representatives of government agencies of these countries, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken”, Russian and Kazakh companies of mechanical engineering, metallurgy, chemical industry, agro–industrial complex and others.

Speaking at the plenary session, Minister of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakhyt Sultanov noted that the Commission is making every effort to improve the business environment in the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Minister called the Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) procedure of the EEC draft decisions, implemented since 2015, one of the main tools of the Commission’s joint work with the business community. Bakhyt Sultanov stressed that more than half of the business proposals received by the EEC within the framework of the RIA were taken into account when developing Commission acts.

An important step for the development of entrepreneurship, according to Bakhyt Sultanov, is the formation of a single market for services in the EAEU, which already covers 142 sectors. New conditions are being created for cross-border cooperation and increasing mutual trade turnover between the participating countries.

Speaking about the advantages for business of the digital agenda implemented by the Commission, the minister cited as an example a project to create an Ecosystem of digital transport corridors of the EAEU, which is aimed at developing transit potential and optimizing logistics chains.
