On October 8, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.Y.Rudenko met with Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization N.B.Yermekbayev, who is in Moscow in connection with participation in the CIS summit.
An exchange of views took place on the agenda of improving the activities of the SCO, including its administrative body, the Secretariat, in relation to modern geopolitical realities. Special attention was paid to strengthening the SCO’s role in shaping the architecture of equal, indivisible security and sustainable development in Eurasia, promoting diverse cooperation within the organization, as well as preparing for the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the SCO member States (October 15-16, Islamabad).
