According to the Office of Agricultural Research and Policy of Chile, exports of products from the forestry and agricultural sector of this country increased by 21 percent from January to September compared to the same period in 2023. During the period under review, the South American country supplied goods such as wood, pulp and paper, as well as fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy products and honey to the world market. The amount of exports amounted to 15.2 billion US dollars (1.5 trillion rubles).
According to the organization, countries such as China, Mexico and Brazil have become the main buyers. At the same time, China accounted for 31 percent of deliveries.
The director of the service, Andres Garcia, clarified that the amount of exported crop production amounted to 10 billion dollars (960 billion rubles), livestock – 1.2 billion dollars (120 billion rubles), and exports of forest resources reached 4.7 billion 73 million dollars (400 billion rubles).
