He stressed that over the past six years, a number of initiatives have been adopted aimed at developing the industry. These events contribute to improving the tourist infrastructure and creating favorable conditions for travelers. The Government gives priority to the development of the hospitality industry as one of the key components of the country’s development strategy.
“The Ministry’s economic diplomacy focuses on tourism and trade. The emphasis is on organizing study trips to Ethiopia, participation in international exhibitions and cooperation with foreign tour operators to demonstrate the country’s attractions,” the head of the department said.
These initiatives involve the establishment of partnerships with all parties interested in the development of the country’s tourism industry.
