The Center for the Study of Belarus at the Beijing University of Foreign Languages continues to actively develop and popularize the Belarusian language and culture in China. This was announced by the head of the center Zhao Xin in an interview with BelTA, a partner of the TV BRICS network.
She is fluent in the Belarusian language and considers it beautiful and melodious.
“The purpose of the Center for the Study of Belarus is to promote the One Belt, One Road initiative,” Zhao Xin added.
She clarified that the center was opened in 2019 in close cooperation with one of the universities of Belarus. Within the framework of this partnership, constant contacts are maintained and exchanges of teachers are conducted.
In addition to language training, this institution organizes events where students get acquainted with the culture of Belarus, its traditional crafts, and also take part in meetings with scientists, diplomats and representatives of Belarusian ministries.
Belarusian studies centers operate in a number of universities in China, contributing to the development of cooperation between the two countries.
