On October 28-29, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.Y.Rudenko, during a working trip to Beijing, held a meeting with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs China Liu Bin held bilateral consultations on Russian-Chinese relations and cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, with Deputy Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China Sun Weidong on issues of the Asia–Pacific region, and also met with the Special Representative of the Government of the People’s Republic of China for Korean Peninsula Affairs Liu Xiaoming.
Following the consultations, A.Y.Rudenko was accepted by a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, Head of the Office of the Central Committee Commission on Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi.
The talks were held in the traditionally constructive and trusting manner inherent in Russian-Chinese relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation.
