Bakytzhan Sagintayev held talks with Tatyana Valova, Chief Executive Officer of the UN Office in Geneva

Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a working meeting with Tatyana Valova, Chief Executive Officer of the United Nations Office in Geneva.

The parties discussed the interaction between the Commission and the UN structures, including the office Organizations in Geneva, as well as considered the prospects for dialogue between international associations at the UNCTAD (UN Conference on Trade and Development) site.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the EEC is open to cooperation with partners in matters of mutual study of integration practices, including at events under the auspices of the United Nations.

In order to raise awareness among official, business and expert circles of Europe about the development of the Eurasian economic integration processes, the Chairman of the Board proposed to hold “Days of the Eurasian Economic Union” in the near future at the UN office in Geneva. The EEC has received consent for this from all the countries of the Union.

Following the talks, the parties expressed interest in expanding cooperation.
