My heartfelt greetings go to the hosts and participants of the ceremony for presenting the award commemorating Metropolitan of Moscow and Kolomna Macarius (Bulgakov), and my heartfelt congratulations go to its laureates.
Established in the 19th century, the Macarius Award has become, without exaggeration, one of the most important awards in theology and religious studies, as well as other sciences.
Today, several countries from the historical West are pursuing an aggressive policy aimed at distorting our history and erasing basic moral values. In this regard, the importance of the efforts to ensure the continuity of generations and to preserve our Fatherland’s cultural, historical, and spiritual heritage cannot be overestimated.
The remarkable achievements of the Macarius Award laureates have made a significant contribution to fostering patriotism among younger people and strengthening our country’s scientific potential.
Notably, this year the awards are being presented for scientific research in natural sciences, including research of great public and civic importance.
I wish you good health, new breakthroughs in your research work, and all the very best.
