Russian Russian Song over the Danube International Festival, organized by the Union of Russians in Slovakia, took place on November 9-10 in Ruzhomberok.
Professional performers and amateur groups take part in the music competition, which is popular among the Russian-speaking diaspora. Participants compete in the performance of works of song art in Russian.
In his welcoming speech, Russian Ambassador to Slovakia I.B.Bratchikov noted the success and relevance of the event, which for many years has been uniting creatively gifted compatriots, primarily living in Slovakia, and contributing to the preservation and popularization of their native language and folk culture.
Traditionally, the festival is held in a warm atmosphere, bringing joy to participants and guests. This year, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of applicants. The geography of performers is expanding every time: the festival acquires a truly international dimension.
The Russian song festival ended with a gala concert by the laureates of the competition.
