Armenian Writing Day was held at Moscow State Linguistic University

On November 11, 2024, the Armenian Writing Day was held at the Moscow State Linguistic University (MGLU), the basic organization for languages and culture of the CIS member states.

The rector of MGLU Irina Kraeva, as well as the invited guests of honor, made a welcoming speech to the audience.

Diplomats, scientists, representatives of international organizations, diasporas, and students took part in the celebration. Deputy Director of the Legal Department Aram Sargsyan and Head of the Press Service Svetlana Malinina participated in the event on behalf of the CIS Executive Committee.

The guests visited the thematic exhibition, listened to famous works by Armenian authors performed by artists and students of MGLU, and also discussed topical issues of teaching and learning the Armenian language and culture in Russia at a round table.

The organizers of the event are MGLU, the All–Russian Public Organization “Union of Armenians of Russia”, the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the city of Moscow.

Armenian Writing Day is a city holiday, which has been celebrated annually since 2013 according to the decision of the Moscow Government in the capital of the Russian Federation.
