By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 711 dated August 20, 2024, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kenya and Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to International Organizations in Nairobi, Republic of Kenya, concurrently.

Higher education: in 1983 he graduated from MGIMO University of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Speaks Swahili and English. He holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, awarded in June 2021.

He has been in the MFA system since 1983. He worked in various positions in the central office of the Ministry and abroad. In 2002-2006 — Senior Adviser, Head of the Africa Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in 2006-2011 — Adviser-Envoy of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of South Africa, in 2011-2014 – Deputy Director of the Africa Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in 2014-2019 — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Plenipotentiary Representative to the Part—time in the African Union, in 2019-2020 – Deputy Director of the Africa Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Since October 2020, he has been Director of the Africa Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
