On November 12, 2024, the 26th meeting of the Coordinating Council for Advertising under the Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy was held in Moscow.
The meeting was attended by delegations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as a representative of the CIS Executive Committee.
The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Coordinating Council for Advertising, Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (Russian Federation) K.M. Taukenova, who reported on the implementation of the decisions of the 25th meeting of the Council and on plans for 2025.
The meeting discussed the basic principles of good practices of bloggers in advertising in the CIS member states, as well as issues of self– and co-regulation, the importance of reputation in the communications industry.
During the meeting, the reasonableness of using information in advertising about awards received by advertisers based on the results of participation in various contests (awards), an analysis of the requirements for advertising psychological assistance services, gambling, bookmakers were discussed.
In addition, the council members paid attention to creative trends, new technologies in outdoor advertising and the problems of its placement in cities, as well as reviewed law enforcement practices in the field of compliance with advertising legislation in the CIS member states.
During the meeting, the ceremony of awarding certificates of the FAS of Russia to representatives of the CIS member states who have made a great personal contribution to the development of cooperation in the field of advertising took place.
Decisions on all issues on the agenda were adopted unanimously.
The next, 27th meeting of the Coordinating Council for Advertising under the Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy is scheduled to be held in the first half of 2025.
