On November 9, the Russian Embassy in Bogotinsky “Teatro Libre” organized a literary and musical gala evening dedicated to the anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin. For the guests of the event, among whom were members of the Colombian Government, representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as prominent figures of culture, education and business circles, the Orchestra of the Batuta Charitable Foundation, the Orchestra of Sergio Arboleda University, the Plaza Sur folklore ensemble, the actors of the Teatro Libre, as well as students of the school at the Embassy performed.
Numerous spectators (more than 270 people) were presented with theatrical productions from the immortal Pushkin works, masterpieces by P.I. Tchaikovsky, Russian folk compositions, as well as the best examples of Colombian musical art.
Enthusiastic listeners, who gave the artists a standing ovation, spoke in favor of holding such evenings on a regular basis.
