On November 7, the XI annual youth festival “Unity in Friendship” was held in Yoshkar-Ola. The guests of the event got acquainted with the creativity of the peoples of Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, India, Colombia, Arab and African countries. The Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Yoshkar-Ola, L.V.Polushina, spoke at the opening of the festival.
The youth festival “Unity in Friendship” is held in order to strengthen friendship between the peoples living in the Republic of Mari El, preserve and develop traditional national cultures, interethnic contacts among young people, and familiarize young people with the cultural wealth of peoples.
