On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, I cordially welcome the organizers and participants of the III International Forum “Woman of the Third Millennium”.
Your forum is an important mechanism for dialogue and a unique platform for bringing together women leaders from different countries.
Today, when the geopolitical picture of the world is undergoing rapid changes affecting all spheres of life, women have a special role in shaping a new, just multipolar world order based on universally recognized principles and norms of international law. In recent years, the participation of women in solving strategic tasks in all spheres of society has increased. The women of the Commonwealth actively promote legislative initiatives, create socially significant projects aimed at preserving languages and developing cultures, advocate for the preservation of family values and traditions, protect children’s rights, as well as for the comprehensive achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
Over the years of its existence, your forum has strengthened its potential, significantly expanded the range of topics discussed and the number of participants – these are almost all regions of Russia, representatives of the Commonwealth states and other countries. Of particular importance is the strengthening of links between women’s organizations from different regions to share best ideas and practices aimed at empowering women.
I am sure that the forum will become an effective mechanism for multilateral humanitarian cooperation, which is so necessary to strengthen trust and friendship between peoples, and its rich program will allow you to enrich each other with unique knowledge and experience.
