On November 13, Russian Ambassador to Armenia S.P.Kopyrkin took part in the grand opening of the “Days of Russian Cinema” film festival organized by the Government of Moscow and the Moscow House of Compatriots in the House of Moscow in Yerevan. The event, which was held with a full house, was attended by the Ambassador of Belarus to Armenia A.V. Konyuk, director of the Moscow House of Compatriots D.Yu.Kozhaev, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative Office in Armenia V.P.Fefilov, representatives of the friendly diplomatic corps, organizations of Russian compatriots, cultural figures and young fans of Russian cinema.
In his welcoming speech, S.P.Kopyrkin stressed that Russia and Armenia share close ties in the field of culture, including cinema, and in today’s rapidly changing world, efforts aimed at preserving and strengthening them are of particular importance.
The audience also had an interested conversation with famous Russian film actors M.A.Yakovleva, M.S.Golovushkin, N.F.Gvozdikova, A.V.Mezhulis and M.V.Kolosov, as well as with directors A.A.Yevtushenko and A.V.Khobotov. At the end of the welcoming ceremony, a screening of the modern Russian film “Three Days of Summer” directed by P.E.Oldenburg and A.A.Denisova took place.
Every day within the framework of the film festival, until November 17 inclusive, a new work of Russian cinema will be shown.
