Athletes from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, Crimea, Amur and Sverdlovsk regions arrived in Brest to participate in the Spartakiad of the Union State. Football, volleyball and swimming competitions will be held in the best arenas of the city above the Bug. 286 athletes from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus take part in them.
The opening ceremony of the Spartakiad, held on November 13 at the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex, was attended by the Consul General of Russia in Brest O. Murashev, who welcomed the athletes and wished them bright victories and new records.
