On November 17, in Abu Dhabi, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov met with former Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Negotiations of the Syrian Opposition Khaled Mahamid.
During the conversation, an in-depth exchange of views took place on the development of the situation in and around Syria in the context of a sharp aggravation of the general situation in the Middle East. At the same time, the issues of a comprehensive settlement in the SAR, based on the provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 2254, including political and humanitarian aspects, tasks of post-conflict socio-economic recovery and the return of refugees, were considered in detail.
