On November 16, in Abu Dhabi, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov met with the First Deputy Chairman of the Governing Presidential Council of Yemen, leader of the Southern Transitional Council Aidarus Al-Zubeidi.
During the conversation, an in-depth exchange of views was held on the situation in and around Yemen, with an emphasis on the task of an early comprehensive settlement of the Yemeni crisis by establishing a sustainable inclusive national dialogue under the auspices of the United Nations.
Special attention was paid to the development of the situation in the Red Sea area.
They also touched upon some practical issues of further strengthening the traditionally friendly Russian-Yemeni ties.
