November 19 The Russian Embassy took part in a traditional charity fair organized by the Union of Women and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Laos.
During the event, at the stands presented by the Lao side and the embassies, visitors were invited to get acquainted with folk crafts, souvenirs and national cuisine of a number of countries, including Russia, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Mongolia, Myanmar, Turkey and Japan, participate in traditional Lao dances and photo shoots.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos T.Fomvihan and the Chairman of the Union of Women of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Laos, Ms. A.Kommasit, visited the Russian stand, as well as the heads of a number of Lao ministries and departments, many of whom were educated in our country, got acquainted with the Russian exposition with interest, emphasized their special interest in Russia, its history and culture.
Following the results of the Fair, voluntary donations were made to the Fund of the Union of Women of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Laos by the diplomatic missions of the participating countries, which will be used for charitable purposes.
