On November 17, the international educational campaign of the Russian Geographical Society “Geographical Dictation” was held at the University of Botswana in Gaborone.
The dictation, conducted by I.P.Shipitko, a teacher at the Center for Open Education at St. Petersburg State University, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Botswana, was attended by representatives of the teaching staff and the student community. As part of the event, a documentary film dedicated to the history, scientific achievements and nature of our country was organized.
The action aroused great interest among the local community. The mood for further holding of such events has been expressed.
