On November 30, 2024, Moscow will host a festival of culture and traditions of the BRICS countries for schoolchildren. It is organized by the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the international TV BRICS network.
The festival is expected to bring together about 300 students in grades 8-11. Students will get acquainted with the history of the BRICS countries, the cultural identity of different peoples, linguistic diversity and learn about international cooperation in the field of mass communications. MGIMO student community activists will help in the preparation of the event.
“The main agenda of the recent BRICS summit in Kazan was to strengthen multilateralism in global development and security. The training of highly qualified international specialists who speak the languages of the participating countries is one of the key factors for the dynamic development of relations between the BRICS countries. Our university, which studies the main languages of all BRICS countries, plays an important role in this,” said Igor Putintsev, Vice–Rector for Language and Pre-university Training.
Anna Lisina, editor-in-chief of the information portal of the international TV BRICS network, will hold a master class on the topic at the festival: “TV BRICS for young people: about the traditions of the Ten countries in the language of media”. She will tell students about the work of the multilingual media editorial office, support for the BRICS agenda on social networks and the interaction of TV BRICS with foreign media partners.

In total, more than 30 institutions of higher education in Russia, Brazil, India and South Africa, including members of the BRICS Network University, are partners of the international TV BRICS network.
