On November 22, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Vershinin received Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan in Moscow Mohammed Sirraj at his request.
During the conversation, key Middle Eastern and African issues on the agenda of the UN Security Council were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the tasks of an early ceasefire and the resumption of an inclusive inter-Sudanese dialogue, including in the light of the recent UN Security Council review of the situation in Sudan.
M. Siraj conveyed the gratitude of the Republic’s leadership for the firm position of the Russian Federation in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Sudan.
