On November 22, the CIS Executive Committee in Moscow hosted a round table “International experience in youth employment”, organized by the Committee on Construction and Architecture of the CIS Business Center and the Youth All-Russian public organization “Russian Student Detachments”.
The event was opened and welcomed by Deputy Secretary General of the CIS Executive Committee Ilkhom Nematov, who stressed the importance of cooperation between various CIS countries in the field of youth employment.
“I am very glad that the values of bygone times are gradually being revived in the space of our Commonwealth, which is extremely important for strengthening patriotism among the youth of the CIS countries. Because the main generating force of development and the future is the youth.”
The Deputy Secretary General of the CIS congratulated the representatives of the student groups on the 65th anniversary of the beginning of this youth movement. “It is also a great holiday for me, as I was also involved in such a youth movement more than half a century ago. There is no doubt that all the participants of the round table are well aware and remember how such strategically important plans of the state as the revival of virgin lands, the construction of BAM, TRANSSIB and many large facilities were built and solved.”
Ilkhom Nematov stressed that the Commonwealth of Independent States attaches great importance to working with youth, for example, youth policy in the CIS is coordinated by the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS member States.
Ilkhom Nematov also drew the attention of the participants to the fact that on May 29, 2020, the Strategy of International Youth Cooperation in the CIS for 2021-2030 was approved, which will raise the interaction of youth of the Commonwealth countries to a high level.
During the round table, the participants were addressed:
Chairman of the Committee on Construction and Architecture of the CIS Business Center Konstantin Avagimov on the topic “Activities of the CIS Business Center for the development of international cooperation in the Commonwealth in the field of youth employment”;
Maxim Filyaev, Head of the Department for International Relations of ANO Eurasia, on the topic “Establishment of representative offices of ANO Eurasia in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States”;
Commander of the Republican Headquarters of student detachments of the Central Committee of the NGO “Belarusian Republican Youth Union” Nadezhda Shakhovskaya on the topic “The work of the Belarusian Republican headquarters of student detachments. Cooperation on the organization of Russian-Belarusian student groups”;
Kristina Sidorova, Head of the Medical Student Teams of the Russian Student Teams;
Nikolay Adasev, Deputy Head of the Baikonur city Administration, on the topic “Successful experience in implementing youth employment projects for representatives of the participating countries of the round table.”
The event became an important platform for the exchange of experience and ideas on the development of youth employment in the CIS countries.
