On November 28, in Bangkok, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.Y.Rudenko held political consultations with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand Ryuchalityan.
The parties discussed in detail the state and prospects for the development of Russian-Thai cooperation in various fields, including trade, investment, scientific, technical and humanitarian, and the expansion of the contractual and legal framework of bilateral relations. The desire to build up comprehensive contacts at various levels has been confirmed.
The exchange of views on key issues on the international and regional agenda confirmed the closeness of the approaches of the two countries. The importance of consolidating interaction in ASEAN-centric mechanisms, as well as in the format of the Russia-ASEAN Dialogue, is emphasized.
