November 28, 2024A meeting of the International Discussion Club “VISION 3000” was held with the support of the Moscow Government (Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the City of Moscow, GBU “Moscow House of Nationalities”) at the Moscow House of Nationalities.

The agenda of the meeting was devoted to the topic: “Cultural dialogue between the peoples of Russia and friendly countries.”
The meeting was moderated by Alfiya Amirova, President of the International Women’s Union, President of the VISIO 3000 International Discussion Club.

Alfiya Amirova noted:
“Dialogue in the field of culture plays an important role in the development of relations between the peoples of Russia and friendly foreign countries, promotes the exchange of experience and ideas, and strengthens friendly ties between peoples.
The cultural dialogue between the peoples of Russia and friendly countries is the process of penetrating into the value system of another culture, overcoming established stereotypes, preserving and cognizing what is original in it, comparing it with one’s own.
This leads to the mutual enrichment of cultures. Through cultural and educational exchange, peoples get acquainted with the traditions and history of other countries, which contributes to a greater understanding, and in the future — to deepen friendly ties at the level of ordinary citizens.
The main goal of the cultural dialogue is a joint search for answers to the current challenges facing the international community: from ensuring security to issues of sustainable development and long—term economic growth.
In Russia, such relations have a long history and continue to develop actively. Speaking about interstate cultural cooperation, it is impossible not to mention UNESCO.
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization was established in 1945 with the aim of promoting peace and security through cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture and communications.
UNESCO strives to protect cultural heritage, educate and strengthen international cooperation in the field of culture.
We are proud that our International Photo Contest “Mother and Children in national costumes” in 2024-2025 is held under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation on Affairs.”
