A new holiday will appear in the Ryazan region – the Day of a large family. The relevant draft regional law was approved at a government meeting on December 3.
The Day of a large family will be celebrated on the second Sunday of September. The choice of the date is associated with the Saints Peter and Fevronia. At this time, the church honors the memory of the patrons of family and marriage, explained Denis Tarakanov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Ryazan region.
Governor Pavel Malkov instructed to develop events to be held in honor of the holiday, “to fill it with meaning and events.”
