Higher education: graduated from MGIMO University of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1988. He holds the diplomatic rank of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the 1st class, awarded in December 2018. Speaks English and French.
Since 1988, he has held various positions in the Ministry’s central office and abroad.
From 2012 to 2014, he was Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations in New York.
From 2014 to 2018, he was the First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations in New York.
From 2018 to 2024 — Director of the Department of International Organizations.
Since December 24, 2024 — Director of the Department for New Challenges and Threats.
He was awarded the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree.
He is married and has a daughter.
