On January 14, Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, received Simone Halperin, Ambassador of the State of Israel in Moscow, at her request.
During the conversation, topical issues of further development of Russian-Israeli relations, including maintaining a regular political dialogue, were discussed.
The current situation in the Middle East region was also discussed in detail. At the same time, special attention was paid to the situation in the Gaza Strip amid reports of progress in negotiations on the parameters of an agreement to de-escalate tensions and release hostages held in the enclave, including our compatriots, in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.
