On January 12, a festive concert “Christmas Festivities” was held at the spiritual and cultural center of the Assumption Cathedral in Astana.
According to good Orthodox and folk traditions, Christmas Eve was always celebrated widely and joyfully – with dances and songs, rituals and games – and lasted until the feast of Epiphany.
The organizers of the concert managed to create an atmosphere of real Christmas festivities – bright, fervent, truly sincere. The artists performed their favorite songs and carols, to which the whole hall happily sang along. And at the end of the event, a gambling quadrille battle was organized, in which all creative teams took part. More than a hundred people were dancing in a colorful dance!
The Cossack choir “Stanichniki”, the folk song and dance ensemble “Cossack Volnitsa” from Karaganda, the ensembles “Bee” and “Zarnitsa” and the student ensemble “Bereginya” of the Kazakh branch of Moscow State University performed at the concert.
