The international TV BRICS network is strengthening information exchange in the Asian area and is starting cooperation with the Global Times, the leading newspaper of the People’s Republic of China. The joint operation agreement was signed by Fan Zhengwei, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Global Times, and Chairman of TV BRICS Ivan Polyakov.
The cooperation of the partners is aimed at strengthening ties between the BRICS countries in the field of mass communications and shaping an objective international agenda. Global Times and TV BRICS will exchange information materials, jointly produce media products and organize professional internships for their employees. One of the common news topics will be the holding of the Years of Culture of Russia and China (2024-2025).
The Chinese daily newspaper Global Times was founded in 1993. He specializes in covering global issues and broadcasts the Chinese point of view on international issues. Today, the Global Times is considered one of the leading media outlets in China, with an audience of more than 500 million readers. The newspaper is published in Chinese, English and in the format of the Global Times news portal. The correspondents of the publication work in different countries of the world.

About a dozen major media outlets act as partners of the TV BRICS media network in China, including the Xinhua News Agency, the Northeast Asia Today news portal, the Global Television Network (CGTN), and the People’s Daily newspaper. During our joint work, several major interstate media projects have been implemented. For example, in 2023 CGTN and TV BRICS prepared a special program “Point of View” for the XV BRICS Summit in South Africa and an expert media project for the Third International Forum “One Belt, One Road” in China. In 2024, a joint edition of the BizTalk talk show on financial cooperation between the BRICS countries was released. At the invitation of the Chinese side, representatives of the TV BRICS network participated in the third Global Innovation Media Forum. (Beijing) and the VI World Media Summit (Urumqi).
In Asia, TV BRICS also cooperates with media outlets from Armenia, Vietnam, India, Iran, Kazakhstan and the UAE.

The international TV BRICS network was created in 2017 on the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who received the support of the heads of state at the IX BRICS Summit in China.
TV BRICS is the latest system of regular information exchange between the media of the BRICS+ countries. The media partners interact through the multilingual TV BRICS portal and the 24-hour television channel of the same name.

The total technical coverage of the TV BRICS partner network exceeds 1.5 billion users.
The mission of TV BRICS is to strengthen cooperation between the BRICS countries and disseminate objective information about the humanitarian and economic activities of the member states and partners of the association. TV BRICS is an official partner of the United Nations, a member of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and provision of the Russian Federation’s chairmanship in the BRICS association in 2024.
As an international partner, TV BRICS provides communication and information support for major international events in the BRICS+ countries, provides media support for the activities of government authorities, cultural and higher education institutions, public and non-profit organizations.
