Interview with Safiullova Rima – Vice President of the International Women’s Union, General Director of Agrofirma Kolos LLC (Tatarstan).

Traditional spiritual and moral values are moral guidelines that are passed down from generation to generation and form the basis of the all-Russian civic identity.

Rima Gumerovna, what can you say about the traditions of the peoples, as an invaluable asset?

United by a common centuries-old history and destiny, and common traditional values, the residents of the multinational Tetyushsky district have long become one.The unique diversity of customs, traditions, and languages is our common priceless asset, which we are sincerely proud of and cherish.

Maslenitsa is held annually in the Tetyushsky district, in the Mordovian villages of Kelimasince, and in the Chuvash villages of Savarni.

The Tatar national holiday “Sabantuy” is celebrated on a large scale. It is decorated not only with a bright theatrical prologue, traditional contests and celebrations of field workers, but also with colorfully decorated national farmsteads. Their decoration contains the wealth of the national soul, creative imagination, culture and national flavor of the Russian, Tatar, Chuvash and Mordovian peoples.

In the village of Kildyushevo, Tetyushsky district, the Republican Festival of Mordovian Culture “Valda Shinya” is held annually, with the participation of folklore groups from different regions of Russia. And the venue of the Chuvash new harvest festival “Chukleme” was the village of Koshki-Novotimbaevo, the birthplace of the enlightener, the creator of the Chuvash alphabet, Ivan Yakovlev.

We live in times of great change, when humanity is threatened by the spiritual impoverishment of the individual, the danger of loss of moral guidance. Familiarization with the traditions and customs of the people helps to foster love for its history and culture, as well as contributes to the preservation of the past.

What is the secret of a strong family?

A strong family is the key to stability. In the traditions of the Russian peoples, the family is the primary foundation of society, the order of life established at the beginning of time. It is in the family that the basic human values are laid.

Every year in the Tetyushsky district, families who have celebrated anniversaries of family life are honored, the first and last newlyweds of the year are celebrated, and birth certificates are handed over to the first and last child of the year in a solemn atmosphere.

Traditionally, festive events are held on the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.

Last year, 2024, which was declared the Year of the Family in Russia, was rich in events: thematic events were held in all cultural and leisure, educational and even sports institutions of the Tetyushsky district. This undoubtedly contributed to the strengthening of family relationships, the formation of patriotic feelings among children, as well as ideas about family values among the younger generation.

Today, in agriculture, as in many other areas of the economy, women often set the tone. Agriculture is not just a large part of the economy, it is a strategic sector that ensures the country’s food security. It is difficult to imagine a woman at the helm of two large and successful agricultural enterprises, but you are an example of the fact that there are no impossible tasks for representatives of the beautiful half of humanity. Are you the Leader of agricultural production in Tatarstan? Is that so?

Agriculture is the basis of the agro—industrial complex.

Today, I head two of the most successful agricultural enterprises not only in the Tetyushsky district, but also in Tatarstan – the Kolos Agricultural Company and Safiullova R.G. farm. Both farms make a great contribution to the development of the agro-industrial sector of the republic and the country’s food security. The results speak for themselves. Every year, our agricultural enterprises consistently rank among the top five in Tatarstan in terms of grain and sugar beet yields.

Agricultural company “Kolos” – the leading agricultural enterprise of the region, consistently ranks among the top five in terms of yield in the republic.

Last year, grain yields amounted to 60.54 quintals per hectare, fodder — 37 quintals per 1 head, and sugar beet — 600 quintals per hectare. In order to get a good return from this crop, along with careful selection of acreage, it is necessary to properly cultivate the soil, observe chemical protection measures for crops and technology. In the Tetyushsky district, sugar beet production is carried out using German technology, Kolos was one of the first to introduce it in Tatarstan.

Last year, due to adverse weather conditions, a difficult year for grain growers, we confirmed our brand – the yield of winter wheat was 67.75 hundredweight per hectare.

Systematic work is underway in the seed production activities at Kolos.

Last year, 77 experimental plots of agricultural crops were placed on the experimental plots of the farm: 14 varieties of barley, 45 varieties of spring wheat, 18 varieties of corn, which were carefully cared for, and the varieties with the best indicators are steadily becoming favorites in local agriculture.

The agricultural company has 1,100 head of cattle, including 450 heads of dairy cattle. The annual milk yield per cow is 9,000 kilograms.

Our new type of farming activity is horse breeding. All conditions have been created on the horse farm for the maintenance of adult and young horses, the number of which is 118.
Along with experienced farmers, young specialists work in the Kolos farm. The collective of the agricultural enterprise is 67 people.

The indicators of the Safiullova R.G. farm over the past year speak for themselves: the total land area is 5,020 hectares, 4,487 hectares of arable land. Last year, grain production amounted to 45.2 hundredweight per hectare, including 50.2 hundredweight per hectare of winter wheat.

Spring wheat of the Rima variety – 47.1 quintals per hectare. 6 quintals per hectare were harvested from a single 50-hectare winter wheat field.

The yield of sugar beet did not disappoint either – 660 quintals per hectare. The number of cattle is 400, the milking herd is 200 heads, milk yield is 7,041 kilograms, meat per 1 conditional head of cattle is 270 kilograms. Gross grain production is 12,330 tons, and sugar beet production is 33,000 tons. 10,502 tons of grain were sold.

Decent pay is a powerful incentive for employees.

Today, we are ready to offer our partners grain crops grown in the fields of our agricultural enterprises and high-quality granulated sugar for export.

You are making a great contribution to the support of our Russian soldiers taking part in a Special Military Operation. Tell us about it.

The support of Russian soldiers is a contribution to our common Victory.

Historical memory and the spiritual experience of generations form the foundations of patriotism and spiritual and moral values among young people. The heroism of our soldiers, their courage, strength and faith in victory shaped the values then – 80 years ago, these values are important to us today.

Every year, large-scale events are organized in the Tetyushsky district on the occasion of Victory Day, the Immortal Regiment campaign, special attention is paid to war veterans and home front workers. To date, one participant of the Great Patriotic War, Ivan Nikolaevich Avdonin, lives in the Tetyushsky district. Recently, he was awarded the title of “Honorary Citizen of the city of Tetyusha and the Tetyushsky district.”

Today, one of our main tasks is to support the participants of the special military operation. Russian soldiers and officers selflessly perform their military duty and honorably solve their tasks. There are three Heroes of the Russian Federation among the natives of the Tetyushsky district. Many fighters have been awarded orders and medals. We are proud of their exploits and honor the memory of those who died.

From the very beginning of the special military operation, we have been providing support to residents of the affected regions and Russian soldiers. Cars, special equipment, quadrocopters, food and much more are purchased and regularly sent to the area of the agricultural company Kolos and Safiullova R.G. farm. In 2024 alone, we have sent humanitarian aid worth 27 million rubles to the front line.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared 2025 the Year of Defender of the Fatherland. This decision is of particular importance on the eve of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. It is significant that the Year of Defender of the Fatherland has replaced the Year of the Family.

This highlights the deep connection between family values and heroic service to the Motherland. The Year of the Family, which was dedicated to demographic issues and motherhood support, laid the foundation for the future. And the Year of Defender of the Fatherland will be a bright and important event that will highlight the merits of those who defended and defend this foundation.
