The grand opening of the photo exhibition “The World through the eyes of the wives of Russian diplomats”

On February 10, 2025, the grand opening of the photo exhibition “The World through the eyes of the wives of Russian Diplomats” took place at the Rudn University. The event was held as part of the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Rudn University and was timed to coincide with the Day of the Diplomatic Worker.

The exhibition, organized by the wives of Russian diplomats, was first presented in 2019. Over the past six years, the exhibition has visited the Federation Council, MGIMO, the Diplomatic Academy, as well as major Russian forums.

This is the third time that the project has been demonstrated at RUDN University, which underlines the university’s special connection with the diplomatic community.

The exhibition features photographs taken by the spouses of Russian diplomats in more than 70 countries around the world. As part of the current exhibition, 11 new works from Lebanon, Brunei, Iran, Guatemala, Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, Serbia, Benin, Chile and Armenia are shown for the first time.

Фото: Фролов Михаил/Комсомольская ПравдаAt the opening ceremony, representatives of the Community of Wives of Russian Diplomats, the RUDN University leadership, as well as Zahra Ahmed, President of the International Women’s Club in Moscow, and Irina Fursova, Director of the Museum of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, delivered welcoming speeches. The importance of the project, which not only demonstrates the beauty of the world, but also emphasizes the role of women in supporting diplomatic missions, was noted.
