On February 10, on Diplomatic Worker’s Day, the staff of the Russian Embassy in Turkey and invited guests – diplomats from the embassies of the CIS countries and employees of the Turkish Foreign Ministry – honored the memory of Ambassador A.G.Karlov, who died in Ankara as a result of a terrorist attack in the line of duty on December 19, 2016, laying flowers to the bust of the Hero of Russia installed on the territory of the foreign mission.
Following the commemorative ceremony, the diplomats were congratulated by students of the Hero of Russia A.G.Karlov School, who had prepared a festive concert. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Turkey, Alexander Yerkhov, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He noted that Russia, together with its allies and partners, continues to wage a difficult struggle for the bright future of all mankind, in which the foreign policy front is important. The Ambassador wished everyone success and also expressed gratitude to the foreign guests for participating in the celebrations.
