Last year, more than 31 million people visited Dubai’s urban parks and recreation areas, which is 7 percent more than in the previous year. This was announced by the municipality of the emirate, reports Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of the TV BRICS network.
Public parks attracted the largest number of visitors – 20.8 million people. At the same time, the five largest parks in the emirate, including Zaabil, Mushrif, Al-Mamzar, Dubai Creek and Safa, received a total of 6.69 million guests. The Quranic Garden was visited by 1.8 million people, while the Dubai Frame was visited by 1.59 million. In addition, almost 1.5 million visitors took advantage of bike paths, mountain biking trails and hiking trails in parks.
“The impressive attendance figures in 2024 demonstrate that Dubai’s public parks are dynamic tourist and leisure spaces that meet international standards. We strive to create inclusive and sustainable zones that enhance the quality of life in Dubai,” said Bader Anwahi, Director General of the Agency for Public Facilities.
In 2024, the municipality hosted 1,283 events, including festivals, sports competitions, and fairs. The authorities have also implemented sustainable projects and updated facility management systems, which has increased their efficiency by 98 percent.
