During the regular press briefing of the Russian Embassy in Laos on February 7, representatives of ministries, departments and the media of the DPRK were informed (using photos and video materials) about the current stage of the Special Military Operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
The main focus of the Embassy’s press secretary’s speech was on the causes of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict, the destructive role of the “collective West” in inciting ethnic hatred between the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine, human rights violations, the spread of Russophobia and large-scale falsification of history while glorifying the Nazi war criminals of the Great Patriotic War.
The focus of our country on finding a political and diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian crisis was emphasized on the basis of the considerations and proposals of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on June 14, 2024, voiced at the embassy round table on February 5 this year on the situation in Ukraine. The initiatives of the countries of the Global South, in particular China and Brazil, as well as a number of African states to find a political solution to the Ukrainian crisis were noted.
During the briefing, detailed answers to journalists’ questions were given, and the urgency of the tasks of denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine, which will definitely be achieved, was emphasized.
The participants were provided with reference materials in the form of press releases on the situation in Ukraine.
