On February 7, the Embassy organized a lecture on “Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation at the present Stage” at the Free University of Kinshasa, as well as a screening of the documentary film “Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing” dubbed into French by the RT Documentary project.
The management of the Congolese university, the teaching staff and more than a hundred students took part in the meeting.
In his welcoming speech, Ambassador K.K.Tikhase spoke about the history of the professional holiday and the importance of the diplomatic service for promoting and protecting Russia’s interests in the international arena.
The main topics of discussion were issues of cooperation within the framework of BRICS, the origins of the Ukrainian crisis, the goals and objectives of the special military operation, as well as the development of Russian-African and Russian-Congolese relations.
