Agricultural products trade between Russia and India increased by 60% in 2024

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev and Indian Ambassador to Moscow Vinay Kumar held a working meeting during which they discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Cabinet.

During the talks, Patrushev noted that agricultural trade between Russia and India is growing rapidly.

“Last year, the turnover of agricultural products increased by more than 60 percent. We are interested in further development of mutual trade,” he said.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated the readiness of the Russian side to increase exports to the republic of vegetable oils, livestock and fish products, as well as wheat and legumes. Patrushev added that Russia is interested in importing Indian agricultural products, including fruits and vegetables.
