On February 9, the Russian folk and choreographic ensemble “Echo of the Mountains” from Khasavyurt, Dagestan, took part in the opening gala concert of the annual 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2024 in Faridabad, Haryana.
The colorful and fiery dances of the peoples of the Republic were met with a long ovation from the audience.
The festival of folk crafts and art will last till February 23, participants from other regions of Russia are expected to arrive.
Representatives of all Indian states and union territories, as well as more than 20 countries of the world, will demonstrate folk art items to visitors of the fair, as well as performances by folklore groups.
