On February 12, the Free University of Kinshasa, with the assistance of the Russian Embassy, hosted the opening ceremony of an exhibition of works by laureates of the X International A. Stenin Photojournalism Competition.
The management of the Congolese university, members of the faculty and several hundred students visited the exhibition. During the event, Ambassador K.K.Tihase expressed hope to see the works of the contestants from the DRC at the exhibition next year.
The contest was established in 2014 under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO in memory of photo correspondent of MIA Rossiya Segodnya A.Stenin, who died in the performance of his professional duty in the south-east of Ukraine.
