Sergey Katyrin, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was awarded the Medal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation “For Assistance in Strengthening Peace” for his contribution to ensuring the Russian presidency of the BRICS in 2024.
The award ceremony was held on February 17, 2025, by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of regional authorities, Russian public figures, and heads of the territorial bodies of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Yekaterinburg, Kazan, and Nizhny Novgorod, who made a significant contribution to the success of the Russian presidency in various areas of cooperation within the BRICS and assisted in organizing these large-scale events.
Sergey Katyrin is the Chairman of the Russian part of the BRICS Business Council. He also headed the BRICS Business Council during the Russian BRICS Presidency in 2024.
