Eurasia-Russia-India. Partnership for peace, progress and prosperity

The exhibition presents the history of interaction between the patent offices of India and Russia, starting from the end of the XIX century to the present day: from privileges for inventions of the Russian Empire issued to Indian applicants to modern Russian patents for inventions on similar subjects issued to Russian and Indian applicants.

The paper presents common approaches to patent cooperation between the Eurasian Patent Office, as well as some of its members with India. Promising areas of innovation activity and statistical data on Indian patenting at the Eurasian Patent Office are shown.

Participants and guests of the conference will see registered Russian trademarks — well—known verbal and visual designations of Indian goods and even animal symbols of Russia and India. 2 exhibitions dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Eurasian Patent Convention are also presented to the attention of the conference participants.

Parallels of time in invention in the Eurasian space

Historical parallels are drawn in the organization of the patent work of national patent offices. The technical level of inventions on the same subject is compared, for which privileges for inventions of the Russian Empire were granted, as well as modern national or Eurasian patents in the EAPC member states: the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

Women and IP are a catalyst for innovation and creativity

“Women and IP are a catalyst for innovation and creativity” is the theme of the International Intellectual Property Day 2023. The World Intellectual Property Organization is addressing the topic of women in invention for the second time in the last five years, and it is no coincidence. Women carry out unique developments, create inventions that transform our lives; they are able to bring their own special view to scientific research, use creative intuition and perseverance to create non-standard solutions. It is impossible to imagine the development of innovations without women’s intellectual creativity today.

The member countries of the Eurasian Patent Organization are rightfully proud of the achievements of their female inventors, who created both decades ago and are creating their own unique developments today. The exhibition presents the achievements of some representatives from the bright galaxy of women researchers, scientists and inventors in the Eurasian space, as well as the scientific achievements of Indian scientists and inventors Anju Chadha and Chitra Mandal.
