On November 30, the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Fund to Support and Protect the Rights of Compatriots Living Abroad was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation K.A. Chuichenko, Chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation L.I. Kalashnikov, Head of the Russian President Administration for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries I.V. Maslov, Human Rights Commissioner in the Russian Federation T.N. Moskalkova, Chairman of the “Russian Bar Association” S.V. Stepashin, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations S.V. Lavrov.
Sergey V. Participants in the presentation emphasized the need to further increase in the current difficult conditions comprehensive legal and other support for the Russian diaspora, faced with unprecedented Russophobia, anti-Russian sentiments, gross violations of generally recognized principles and norms of international law in the field of human rights.
Analyzed the results of the work of the Fund in recent years, developed recommendations for the priority areas of its activities in 2023.
