Neda Tayebi was born in 1987 in the Iranian city of Karaj. In 2011 She received a bachelor’s degree in painting from the Tehran University of Art — and since then decided to devote her life to painting, drawing, sketching and experimenting with various techniques and materials.

In 2015 Neda arrived in Kabul, the capital of war—torn Afghanistan. The artist started repainting rusty pieces of equipment from the Cold War era — in particular, tanks and armored personnel carriers. She tried to turn the terrible instruments of death into bright, attractive and popular works of art.

Later, Neda Tayebi took part in several group exhibitions, including at the Shirin Gallery in Tehran and at the Fajr Festival at the Tehran Museum of Modern Art.
