Brazil’s coastline is 7,400 kilometers long, and Brazil has 3.5 million square kilometers (km2) of sea space under its jurisdiction. The area, also called the Blue Amazon, is known worldwide for its natural wealth and rich minerals that only Brazil can economically use.
Internexco, a subsidiary of the Russian state nuclear company Rosatom, signed a contract this month to sell uranium to Brazilian nuclear power plants starting in 2023.
