On December 12, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov received the President of the African Global Security Fund, former Prime Minister of Uganda Amama Mbabazi and the director of the international non-governmental organization Brazzaville Foundation Jean-Yves Olivier, who are in Moscow on a working trip.
During the conversation, an interested exchange of views took place on topical issues of the global and African agenda, including the problems of ensuring food security of the countries of the African continent in the context of the current geopolitical situation.
The issues of political and diplomatic settlement in the “hot spots” of Africa with an emphasis on the normalization of the situation in the Great Lakes Region and the Horn of Africa were also discussed.
