The lighting ceremony was accompanied by a concert. This year, floodlights were put up on the site specifically for lighting.

The lights on the Christmas tree were lit by Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliyev.

To give the residents of the capital a New Year’s mood, two installations in the form of tunnels with LED lighting, 12 small Christmas trees, 12 snowflakes, 20 large balls and about 20 installations made of acrylic with lighting were also installed on the central square. In total, more than 30 utilities and several pieces of equipment were involved in the decoration of the city.
