Heavyweight Varazdat Lalayan took bronze at the World Weightlifting Championships in Colombia

Earlier, Samvel Gasparyan, who also plays for Armenia, took bronze in the 102 kg category.
Sputnik Armenia reports. Heavyweight (category 109 kg or more) Varazdat Lalayan, representing Armenia, won a bronze medal at the World Weightlifting Championships in Colombia.
Georgian athlete Lasha Talakhadze took gold, lifting 215 kg in the snatch, 251 kg in the clean and jerk, and 466 kg in the overall standings.
Silver went to Gor Minasyan, who plays for Bahrain. This athlete managed to lift 462 kg in total.
Varazdat Lalayan took 215 and 246 kg, in total – 461. Earlier, Samvel Gasparyan, who also plays for Armenia, took bronze in the 102 kg category.
